โš”๏ธGame Mechanics

Chicken Saga is built as an auto-battler, yet its true depth lies in the preparation that takes place before each match.

Success is determined not only by entering the arena but also by the strategies formed beforehand through feeding, equipping, and decision-making that shape every outcome.

๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Battle Items

Battle Items add a strategic layer to every match, giving your chicken unique advantages during combat. Selecting and ordering them properly can make all the difference in battle.

Note: We are still early in the development of Battle Items, and many aspects are still subject to change as we refine the system. Additional Battle Items may also be introduced in future updates.

โš’๏ธ Crafting Requirements

  • Ordinary Battle Item: 25 $COCK + 35 Shards + 15 Feathers

  • Premium Battle Item: 250 $COCK + 5 Shiny Shards + 1 Legendary Feather

Battle Items are designed to be affordable, as they play a key role in every battle. They function as consumables, meaning one craft produces one ERC-1155 item, which is consumed or burned after each use in battle.

๐ŸŽฏ Battle Item Selection Process

Before each battle, youโ€™ll go through a quick setup phase to equip your chicken with items.

  • Move your Battle Items from your wallet to your backpack in the Inventory section.

  • Select your chicken for battle (Chicken Inventory)

  • Open the battle modal to begin setup

  • Pre-select 3 battle items (up to 5 with IAP)

  • Enter matchmaking

  • Once a match is found, you can view your opponentโ€™s battle stats and equipped items.

  • Reorder your items before the fight (choose activation order for each round)

    • At <1500 MMR, item order is preset and cannot be changed

    • At 1500 MMR and above, you can manually reorder items before the battle starts

  • Battle begins โ€” one item activates per round, in the order you set.

๐Ÿช Feeding Cookies

The Chicken Feeding system allows players to enhance their chickens with temporary stat bonuses before entering battle. It also affects their Affection, increasing it when they enjoy the cookie or decreasing it when they donโ€™t.

Hereโ€™s everything you need to know about feeding Cookies ๐Ÿ‘‡

  • You can only get stat bonuses from up to four different Cookie types per chicken.

  • Each cookie type grants its bonus stat only once.

  • Bonus stats from Cookies last 12 hours from the time of usage.

  • Ultimate Cookies grant a random stat which blocks the same stat type from being fed again. Use them first and plan accordingly.

    • For example, if your Ultimate Cookie lands on Attack, the Attack Cookie will no longer provide a bonus stat.

โšก Energy System

The energy system in Chicken Saga is directly tied to each chickenโ€™s Health Points (HP). HP functions as the cooldown timer for each chicken. After battles, chickens lose HP and must regenerate it before they can fight again. Free daily heals serve as your Energy, allowing you to recover HP and re-enter battles.

  • Health Points (HP): Each chicken has a maximum HP value (e.g., 300 HP). The HP of your chicken will reflect its remaining HP after the last round of its previous battle.

  • Cooldown Dependency: The cooldown duration is directly proportional to the remaining HP of the chicken after battles. Lower HP results in a longer cooldown period.

  • Healing Options:

    • Free Daily Heals: Players can heal their chicken to full HP up to (x) times daily at the Health Center for free. The number of available heals will depend on how many chickens you have.

    • Heal In-App Purchases: Purchase different types of heals using RON tokens. The RON fee is tied to a fixed USD value.

    • Natural Regeneration: Chickens will slowly recover HP over time without using any resources, but this method takes the longest. Rarer chickens regenerate HP faster.

    • Heal Subscriptions: Players can subscribe to a Heal Subscription to receive 10 bonus free heals after every reset. Subscriptions are available in 7-day, 14-day, and 30-day options.

โšฐ๏ธ Faint Mechanic

When a Genesis Chicken loses under the effect of Takipsilim, it enters a Faint status. This mechanic keeps the Genesis balanced in Leaderboard progression and shows that even immortals are not spared from the wrath of Takipsilim.

Here are the conditions and limitations for fainted chickens ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ”ธ They canโ€™t perform any ecosystem actions until the next reset at 00:00 UTC ๐Ÿ”ธ They canโ€™t be rubbed for Feathers ๐Ÿ”ธ They still count toward daily heal allocation ๐Ÿ”ธ Every consecutive faint extends the recovery time for Genesis Chickens

  • 1st faint: 1 reset

  • 2nd faint: 2 resets

  • 3rd faint: 4 resets

  • 4th+ faint: 7 resets

Reminder: Recovery duration returns to 1 reset once your chicken endures 1 reset without fainting.

Even immortals can fall sometimes!

โ˜ ๏ธ Death Mechanic

The Death mechanic introduces permanent risk to battles. It brings risk-to-earn gameplay into Chicken Saga, where every battle carries the possibility of permanent loss.

Legacy and Ordinary chickens that trigger Takipsilim and lose will permanently die and be burned from the supply, introducing a risk-to-earn mechanic.

  • Base Chance = 6.9%

  • Death Chance (%) = Base Chance + ((Current Populationโˆ’Target Population)/Target Population)ร— Scaling Factor

  • If a chicken triggers Takipsilim, a warning will appear at the start of the match: โ€œTakipsilim is watching this battle.โ€ The affected chicken will then have a purple HP bar throughout the match.

  • Quitting or refreshing the page after this message appears does not affect the outcome of the battle.

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Takipsilim's Mercy

Takipsilimโ€™s Mercy protects chickens from being punished during their early battles at the start of each season. Under this effect, chickens will not be burned by Takipsilim for their first 20 matches.

This applies to both Ordinary and Legacy chickens, allowing players to test and experience them freely without fear of loss. The feature encourages players to explore different strategies, team compositions, and playstyles at the beginning of every season.

Important Note:

  • The effect applies even if a chicken has already fought more than 20 times before the current season.

  • Only battles fought within the ongoing season count toward the 20-match limit.

Make the most of Takipsilimโ€™s Mercy while it lasts!
