# Legacy Collection
The **Legacy collection** introduces **8,888 chickens**, each carrying the remnants of Liwayway’s first light. Unlike the immortal Genesis, these warriors are bound by time, yet within them lingers the divine energy that shaped the world.
**Legacy Chickens** are primarily meant for **breeding** and **Feather generation**, **not combat**. While they can still enter battles, they are not optimized for high-risk encounters and may be at risk of dying.

### Mint Cost
All **$COCK** and **Feathers** used during the minting process will be **permanently burned**, reducing the overall supply of these resources.

### Allocation Details
**Genesis Chicken holders** will receive first access to the mint. The minting order will be determined by the number of Legendary parts each Genesis Chicken possesses. Additionally, whitelist allocations are **stackable** based on the total number of NFTs owned. Mystic axie holders will be able to mint immediately after the Genesis phases.

### Mint Phases
To ensure everyone has enough time to secure their Legacy Chickens and avoid missing out on their allocations, we’ve decided to make the mint window longer.
Additionally, users can still mint after their corresponding mint phases (*phases following their assigned phase*) if they still have remaining unminted allocations and as long as the Legacy Collection isn’t minted out yet.

### Feather Generation
The **Legacy chickens** will also generate **Feathers (ERC-1155)**, giving owners the chance to collect these valuable resources and expand their in-game potential. While their yield is lower than the Genesis, this feature still adds meaningful utility beyond combat, making them a valuable asset in the Chicken Saga universe.
